It has also been decided in the UEFA headquarters that the prize money for the Europa League should be increased. Qualification for the group stages of the compition Europa League bring with it €1m. Every win in this competition will be worth €40,000, while teams will be awarded half as much for a draw. A place in the last 32 will be rewarded with €200,000. Sounds better. Does that include TV money or did they get sold individually by the clubs? I thought I read that somewhere but you'll probably clear that up.

Still nowhere near the "€3 million to each team that qualifies for the UEFA Champions League, plus €2.4 million for participating in the Group stage. A Group stage win is worth €600,000 and a draw is worth €300,000. In addition, UEFA pays each quarter finalist €2.5 million, €3 million for each semi-finalist, €4 million for the runners-up and €7 million for the winners."

But its better than nothing.

Can’t be too far off the total prize money for winning the FA cup?

Don't know if this has been posted or not but I have good news for Evertonians in the USA. GolTV will be showing the game live against AEK Athens. Seems to me GolTV quietly secured rights to some Europa League games, and even a highlight show. Good stuff there!
