There seems little coverage of this in the build up. It's a real shame as the UEFA Cup was a great competition. It seems the only thing connecting this current version of the tournament to the one of old is the beautiful trophy.

I'm not fond of either of club's who made it to the Final. I do think winning the trophy would be more appreciated by the Arsenal fans. They don't seem to have gotten the rub of the green in European competition for various reasons, some of their own making. They are also a side who I believe were denied success because of the ban on English club's. George Graham's side were set up to play in a way that brought other side's European success throughout the late 80' and early 90's - including his own Cup Winner's Cup victory.

That was a lot more than I intended to type ;)
 
You know both sets of fans have been spoilt recently when they can’t be arsed with a European final. I’d sore my leg off to be in this.

Graham did a decent job with Arsenal in Europe. Two CWC Finals ain't to be sniffed at

Better return than what Wenger brought anyway
 
Who is everyone here rooting for? The OP should do a poll on this thread. Chelsea all the way for me, hope Barkley lifts that trophy.
 
If Arsenal's centre-backs can avoid doing anything too ridiculous, I fancy them to win quite handily here.

Hazard aside, Chelsea look very pedestrian these days, and they'll miss Loftus-Cheek.

I want Chelsea to win, just because it will make the Sarri haters look even more ridiculous for wanting him out when he's secured Top 4 and gotten to two Cup Finals

Also, I'd like Ross to pick up a medal. I still love him, despite how it turned out

If I knew how to do a poll I’d put one up. I’ve a feeling it will be very nervy, extra time and penalties with Chelsea winning. Think I’d prefer Arsenal though.
 
Arsenal to win this. Unai loves a nice Europa League trophy and I’m not sure how much Hazard is going to be pushing for victory with him surely gone in a few weeks.
