I'm not worried mate, just wanted a simpler route through the group stages while we become accustomed to European football + League football again.

I see it this way:

If we're in Pot 3 then there's an extra Pot 1 / Pot 2 team that we can knock out before we even get to the knockouts. Makes it easier in the long run!

I see Hull have made great use of taking Man U's place in Europe! 2-0 up in the cup final to not even making the groups. I am gutted for Jelavic though.

We're in pot 3. The echo did a nice piece about who needed to lose for us to move into pot 2. Lyon and Twente lost, but we needed another team to lose for us to move up. We're the highest seed in pot 3, so we were very close to being in pot 2.
