Euro2020 Knock Out Rounds

They'll have a lot of good players in their prime so to speak for 2024-2028. That's probably the sweet spot but they're also good now.
Indeed so. The way I see it, there’s a few nations that are in transition, or have a good team, but are coming to the end of their peak and it‘ll take them a couple of tournaments to have a team that can win a World Cup/Euros. Based on that, I’d say 2022 & 2026 World Cups along with the ‘24 Euros will probably be our best chance of winning something. Beyond that, a lot can happen

Going to have to take out the hosts in 2026!

this thread at 10pm tomorrow will probably be better than the actual game.

i think i support 'good thread' over a good game now.

Well, so far we have :

Fear for the safety of any England supporting British Muslims in licensed premises.

The England football team no longer representing, the nation, their clubs and themselves, they now represent the Tory Party.

The Church, representing the Tory party in guiding people to a Tory heaven.

All England fans being murderous, Stone Island clad Tory voting psychopaths.

England fans en masse infecting the nation and by default the world with Coronavirus.

A “ Queen Off “

Have I missed anything out ?

I think England not winning a trophy in the next couple decades would be a massive failure. They've figured out development to a large extent and they've got more money in their football than anywhere else by a distance. They should be really good.
We're probably in the position that Belgium was in with peak Kompany and Hazard and they did nada, If these lot don't win anything it'll be a huge cock up, The midfield and CB's aren't the greatest but the attacking talent they have..... They can bring Foden and Grealish off the bench! The majority of the squad is quite young as well so they should be looking to become a powerhouse in the national game.

My feeling is unlike Belgium the pipeline should stay pretty fresh so that you aren't bringing a past it Nacer Chadli on to chase a game. England should be able to be more of a Germany like side that moves from generation to generation now.

There has been a decade-long plan from the FA to win the 2022 World Cup.

Their aim is also to get the 2030 WC, and rightly so, so the aim will be to peak again for that.

Mad to think that Foden, Bellingham, Mount etc could all still be in their peak years in 2030 too.

That 2030 bid is going to be intense. Basically the two continents in the running are South America and Europe (and I guess Morocco will probably try from Africa) so you're going to have lots of interest.
