I live in England Dave. You don’t, you live in Liverpool. I have never in my entire life witnessed any of the above, nor has anyone I know. Of course it happens, but you are suggesting it’s an everyday occurrence here, and that they’d get abused in “most” places they go. It also is far from an issue that’s confined to this country, unfortunately. Indeed the country you were cheering for on Saturday night has a well known historic and current problem with racism on the terraces and in society in general.

Love not hate. The hate you have in your heart is extremely unhealthy. The England national team are spreading nothing but positivity about the nation right now, no colour or creed is exempt from enjoying it. Embrace the love David.

True. but most fans following England aren't knuckle dragging patriots.

There are far too many of them it must be said.

However, you get knuckle dragging patriots in every nation. England doesn't have a monopoly on them unfortunately

Because anti-muslim sentiment is rife in this country. In one study over a third of people view muslims as a threat. The England national team in particular are followed by 'taking the knee' booing fans who have a history of sectarianism and racism.

It is completely naive to think a photo like the one produced above is a good representation of the way muslims take to the national football team and how white England fans would likely take to them.

I have no idea how many pubs and bars you've been to in England mate, but (outside of some sleepy suburbs or country villages) in towns and cities in this country, if England had just been beaten after a long night of their fans on the piss, those women you linked to would be in danger.

Sorry if that doesn't fit the narrative of Sweet Caroline and Football's Coming Home, but it is - unfortunately - true.

Happy to admit I was wrong on Southgate.

Still think it's very fine margins but it was a very impressive performance the other day.

Denmark will be a huge test.

That being said, we have the best squad left in the competition, though I've fancied Italy all along and am fuming I didn't put a bet on at 9/1 :D

Anyway, seeing children cry at the footy is peak sport. We've all been there, it's a right of passage. Imagine supporting Everton and your only other sporting outlet being Wakefield effing Trinity for 25 years. That'd be something to cry about :D character building

I suppose it depends on what pub you went to, when you say 'most'. I would argue that most pubs they went into they would be fine, but there would be few pubs where the majority of people hounding them out.

But then again, they would probably hound me out as well, despite me being white. I have a big beard so they may get confused.

Will you be supporting the 100% inclusive Italians in the final or would you be supporting the 100% inclusive Spanish, whichever way it goes.
