It's a high horse that has a lot of respected voices on it, meanwhile despots like Le Pen and Wilders are cheering this decision. It's a sad day for Britain when we do anything that is applauded by such horrid individuals.

It's the will of the people and what the Richard heads overseas think is not the point here, you're agreeing with somebody calling another poster thick because they have a different opinion ( he may just be 'Chico-ing him, aka WUM, but that's GOT.)...which happens to be the majority as defined by the present system.
Now the first past the post system mightn't be ideal so move to change it

but this denigration of leave voters is just not right - you may think they're wrong, that's just your opinion, but they're not wrong or stupid, just of a different opinion which happens to have carried, under the present rules, the day.

plenty of stuff to happen yet, that will need commenting on / discussing. Lets get on with it.

Okay, so tell me something: What are we going to do that's so amazing, in 5 years time we'll all be wealthier and more stable?

Tell me what the plan is. I want to know. Because right now this is like saying "I've just separated by rear wheels from my axel, I'm going to do something, I don't know what yet, but when its done it will be better than before". Meanwhile, all the mechanics (in this analogy, they refer to economists) are looking at you, wondering why you just ruined your Subaru R34.
Firstly, what's a Subaru R34? Didn't Nissan make the R34 model for their Skylines?

Secondly, not once did I say everything will be 'amazing' in 5 years time did I. I'm just choosing not to start freaking out at the fact that the UK has left a crumbling buerocratic model such as the EU. Will we be better off in 5 years, 10 years, 20 years, who knows, but it's not really my job to lay out a plan to you for our country's future is it. That's down to the politicians and our business leaders. And I actually have trust in the people of this country that together we can prosper on our own two feet. But we will see. If it goes to absolute wank by 2025, you can vault me.

If anyone loses their job in the next few months can you post on here.

Just so we ensure it can be seen. Not a state of denial.

The chief of Germany's foreign trade association, Anton Boerner, said on Friday Britain's vote to leave the European Union was catastrophic for Britain, Europe and Germany.
"That is a catastrophic result for Britain and also for Europe and Germany, especially the German economy," Boerner told Reuters. "It is disturbing that the oldest democracy in the world turns its back on us."

Great start to all these wonderful trade relationships you are going to build.

I haven't slept in 24 hours, my bad for mistaking Nissan and Subaru.

So all we do now is hope for the best? Look, I'm happy to vault you in 2025, but can the other 15m people who voted the same as me do the same? Because we're the ones who thought hoping for the best wasn't good enough.

If someone said the earth was flat, you would expect people to use evidence to say why it isn't. If that evidence was then ignored by a majority of people then yes, I would question their faculties. That's exactly what has happened here. There is barely a scrap of evidence to suggest this is even a remotely good decision.

But have done the most to actually build it.......

Perhaps but were they voting with a hazy memory of the past or with vision for the future?

Whether you're 16 or 90, you can only really have a sentiment about the future, the decision is made though and people will have to make it work now. That's the unknown part, how people will react to the new challenges and find ways of overcoming them.

Just putting it out there. Does this vote mean the end of the EU as we all know it?

We reform and stay in with better terms, then all the other main countries vote and leave because they want preferential treatment as well. This then changes the picture of it dramatically because you can't favour 6-7 countries all at the same time so the way the EU can carry on is by changing.

Texas seceding would be similar to Merseyside ( or similar) seceding, Texas isn't already a nation like Scotland is. Also given the different setups there really isn't a direct US comparison. I also never brought up the US but everyone seems eager to bring it up in their responses.

Texas *is not* allowed to leave the Union. This has been established by both the Supreme Court and Force of Arms.
