I love it when you have these Leave voters who are constantly having a go at Remain voters with the "get over it" posts, as if Remain voters should have no say in how the country should proceed because of the referendum result:

But then, when the Leave voters lost the high court Article 50 hearing, it's suddenly a different story:

Why don't the Leave voters just accept that a Parliamentary vote is needed on Article 50, and in their words, "get over it"?

The Leave voters have got precisely what they claimed to be voting for - British courts being able to make constitutional decisions, although it seems they only want the courts to make the decisions which suit them.

I refer you to my large post on page 780.

British courts are there to make LEGAL decisions, not constitutional decisions. There is a difference...

And in voting leave, I want British legal decisions NOT to be changed by EU courts.

72.3% of the people in my borough voted remain, so yes, hopefully the 3 mps that represent the borough in parliament will do so accordingly ;)

You're off the pace again, Bruce. Things going to Parlliament are NOT to vote in or out, but to debate and vote on the terms of leaving.

Voted and want Brexit , but don't have a problem with it going to parliament at all , gives us all a chance to see what are MP'S are made of, are they self serving ie want to stay in, because that's what they want or do they really represent the people who put them in power and let us get on with it and go.
Interesting times ahead on a couple of points.
What will the lords do.
How will the EU view and react to the further uncertainty and delay, couple of big elections coming up, and the Italian Pm already saying it needs to be done as its stalling major decisions within the EU, lasting even longer caused ironically by its supporters in the UK.
Will we have an election.
Hope myself, the Lords gets disbanded , we have an election , and it drags on even longer till we get thrown out or get a leader that can lead one way or the other to put an end to it all.

It's beginning to settle down again and I think it's working out quite well now, Labour are giving out two messages but they are on the hook to their voters to deliver Brexit, the Tories will mostly fall into line and the rest will vote against anything really. So when it gets brought to a vote it will now have the undisputed agreement of the electorate and parliament. It they reject it then there will be mayhem and political suicide for a number of remainers......oh and its really hacking off the EU at the moment......

It's not even that, as the terms cannot possibly be known until after negotiations. It will be a simple vote on initiating article 50 based on us attempting to etc etc etc...put any words in because they will change during negotiations.......

An election will take place whem May realises how difficult it all is.

May will no doubt try and make it into that, but that's not what either House is going to accept

What this Govt needs to bring to the table is their clearly defined objectives and whether single market access is going to be the priority.
