Just listened to a debate on LBC over the banks may leave the UK threat, Goldman sachs one the biggest donors to the remain campaign, have helped to fire this warning why self interest - these bankers are the very ones who caused the 2008 crash, and our government bailed out the English banks - evidently since that crash the city has lost 5 billion to Bermuda not the EU, Insurances have suffered all over the UK 1000s of jobs jobs have been lost on a massive scale due to that crash the world bank's depend on the UK banking system including the EU.
It would be another case of the EU cutting their noses off to spite their faces - also new banks from outside the EU have taken up the office spaces from Canada, Australia etc to fill the void that was left since 2008!
Also the May government have give assurances the financial sector will be protected - my analogy of the fair remainer who hosted that programme is the big bully boys trying to carry on project fear by blackmailBrexit, as Goldman sacs have a big finger in the pie on the EU in fact they helped to destroy Greece!
Also a professor came on and stated he has sent his new book bexit the blue print for the UK's future out at the end of the month is one of positivity of our country trading with 160 countries and not 27 countries and pointed out VAT in the EU at the moment rakes in a trillion Euros for them to operate their political union, and system which has zero growth!
He has sent his first copy to Theresa May!

I think free movement was part of it. Many want to experience work and life beyond these shores and that freedom allows them to do so by simply rocking up.

I also think that they're generally less concerned about immigration, they've grown up in a multi cultural society and don't see the issue that many of the older generation did.

I also think they're not as Nationalistic as their parents and grand parents, the sovereignty issue therefore isn't a prime factor.

I've heard similar explanations before yet always wondered just how many of them will actually go and work outside of the English speaking environment.....it seems that most people leaving the UK tend to be older people going to live in Spain, so I'm not sure about this particular explanation.....

I agree about the immigration and 'nationalistic' elements, but it seems that there are no really exceptional reasons to remain, apart from fear of change.....

Goldman Sachs is a plague upon humanity. I would not be too sad if it went bankrupt.......

Dunno about you but I'll listen to someone with life experience before a 20 year old art student.
It's about their perspective not their amount of life experience

My auld fella is 80, a dyed in the wool Tory, a racist and a flag waving Leave voter. I wouldn't listen to a word he said about politics, the economy or modern life in general.

And yet he managed to raise a tolerant and forgiving child who is willing to listen to both sides of an argument while attempting to understand the opinions of others.........

It's not your "plain speaking" that is the problem, it's the fact that whenever someone disagrees with you, your automatic reaction is to assume that they are incapable of grasping your point. Read the comments I quoted above and tell me that is not true.

I'm just saying, you might want to tone it down a bit because your posts are littered with a superiority complex which is painful to read at times - choose to take or leave the advice as you will.

This is not the point at all, in your first paragraph. Go back and read my original reply to the quoting of a poll. It was a completely dry statement(the information from the poll) - no information on the poll sample, or anything else.

Polls/Surveys can be instigated, interpreted, or manipulated, any which way. That always has to be borne in mind when examining the outcome.

I won't tone down my posts at your suggestion. My posts are my views; the posts of others are their views. Whereas others might attack me with certain phrases (such as this above of yours "...a superiority complex..."), I will not attack others. Rather, I will attempt to counter their points where I believe there is a valid reason to do so.

In closing, one could take your final paragraph above as being condescending, or taking a superior attitude towards me, but I don't take it as such, although others might...

Anyway, I'm off in a few minutes to (hopefully) watch Chelski smash ManUre and keep the Mancs below us. We moan about EU in or out - lets all smile if the Mancs are still beneath us around 6 o'clock!!! :) ;)

Less than a minute gone and the Mancs are 1 down! Yeeeees! (Apologies for being off-topic).

Ironic that those who have demonised bankers for years now see them as saviours.
