I think you should look again at the distribution over the country of the split between the two camps.

A bit unfair to say the voters to leave are as you describe them implying that the voters to remain are exactly the opposite, highly intelligent superior beings!!

Me I do not wish to be part of a USE which is where it was heading.

I don't even remotely suggest that the remain voters are "highly intelligent superior beings" as you put it anywhere in that post.

More that they were just people that were willing to listen to what the potential exit would mean and not get swept away in tedious and mindless Nationalism.

To be honest, and it's far from snobbery, it doesn't take a genius to work out that the majority of people who voted to leave were either stuck in the past, die hard union jack boxer short wearing biffs, or those swept along in the wave of nationalism and against those foreign types thanks to big Nige and self interest guru Boris.

We were told it would have a massive effect on the economy and low and behold it is! Just when we were more stable after the 2008 recession and things were looking a tad rosier.

You can't blame people for not accepting something so crass that they did not vote for.

Can you?

Far from snobbery - Beyond generalisation though.

I didn't vote tory at the last GE. Did I gnash my teeth and stamp my feet and demand a re-run? No.

Do I accept the GE result - I have no choice but to.

That is not how it is coming across. So what are the benefits of staying in the EU?
We pay too much have no control, and when we vote to leave we will get bullied till we become an independent country that can trade worldwide without tariffs!
Also the democratic vote of the people is being ignored by some of the westminster bumble and the Scottish!

look again at your description of the people who voted to leave, in the context of that how would you describe the people who voted to stay.

I do accept the decision of the majority, just to be totally clear. However I do think it is correct to discuss the consequences of the decision which has now been made.
you cannot negotiate untill we sign article 50 so the EU will not give anything away - when May says the same our MPS vilify her if your playing poker for big pots of money do you show your hand first 3 months in advance NO !

Obvious first answer is a more stable economy! lol

But in hock to the EU, laws continually passed down on us, do as we say not as we do. We were or are the second largest contributours to the EU budget and what do we get out of it apart from a few small handouts for small projects.

Spain had hundreds of miles of new motorways built with EU money, just an example, Greece is horribly in debt to Germany - why? Germany would not reduce it, or take the tanks back.
