I would say more of a set-up by the snakes.

They would expect the first deportations to be suspended, under challenge in court.

Allowing them to sow fake outrage about lefty lawyers amongst their rabid, Mail reading followers, then use it to justify ditching ECHR compliance.

The Rwanda gig was probably never the objective. Just a means to an end.
I suspect the real aim was to push the UK away from ECHR.

Two years of Covid - give it time .....

Covid, like much of the world, but we have the added complications of Brexit on top of the Covid fallout, that everyone else also experienced.

I don’t understand why lots of Brexit people still don’t get it.

Have you compared our trade and economic performance post-Covid to the rest of Europe recently?

Don't like linking to this rag, but the story made me laugh my head off...

So now EU laws are okay? Fire extinguisher for the bonfire of red tape?

Muppets.

Stop spreading your project fear message, anyone can tell that jam has been caused by a puncture on an Austin Allegro and once the RAC finally fix it, it will be zoom zoom zoom past the controls that we put in place to stop Johnny foreigner from coming in. :hayee:

You are right but it wasn't a British cars fault, it was a Peugeot.

Absolutely this.

Now apply this logic to goods and services and the issues are simple to understand.

Extra paperwork alone, cost. Extra time, also cost. So for businesses it is not good.

For individuals going on holiday, stress and hassle.

I think what got lost amongst a lot of the arguments about Brussels red tape was just how EASY a lot of things were.

You don't know what you've got until it's gone.
