I wasn't really sure what point Pete was making there tbh? The guy was saying trade with Europe had gone from easy to a ballsache, and that it was now as much of a ballsache as it was with America. Was Pete suggesting that's a good thing?

To an extent, that is true, and there are well documented issues with supply chains globally. The introduction of huge quantities of previously unnecessary paperwork is purely of our own making though.
