I don't think a government should be above the law. If you want to be outraged about something, maybe look at the immigration detention centres and how they operate rather than getting wound up by things that haven't actually happened and may never happen.
Comes down to if you believe prevention is better than the cure. I much prefer preventing bad policy whatever the government o r it's narrative as I do they in life in general, don't see the point in letting anything wash over me without thought or critique of the examples already set.
As example cannot see the liberal good in the likes of Phillip and Morris (tobacco) being allowed to seek compensation from tax payer because of new health policy.

You seem to be overlooking the fact that Philip Morris lost the case they brought to the ISDS. The problem with ISDS is not their existence, but the secrecy and lack of transparency around their actions. Just as governments need to be accountable, so do these judicial procedures.

The haulage industry is in a right mess with a real labour shortage at the moment. Partly Covid - drivers are all working for Tesco and the likes now - Partly Brexit - loads of them have gone back to their home countries.

Dealing with so many pissed-off customers due to late deliveries the last few weeks.

Yes I know there were others I could have used where large corporations can and have sort tax payers monies against policy to maintain profit margin
Giving major corporations power to challenge regulations that affect their profits, in return restricting our own Government abilities as a sovereign country to introduce new laws to protect our environment, public health, and the rights of workers and consumers, am happy to be against such measures even before they are implemented or considered, it's called foresight...

Oh boy, you've just used the sovereignty angle. Your argument is no better than this Mail front page

So we've dropped out of the Champions League and enter the Europa. Nice!

No mate. We have an FTA with the EU and the CPTPP is additional. So instead of just belonging to a declining market, we will now have access to a growing market. And when the U.K. joins it will be a bigger market than the EU without all the payments/laws/interference/bureaucracy. Also, eventually the USA will join and then probably China.....it’s the future....

It doesn't appear to include services, which is kinda what our economy is about?

Let's hope!

There’s more to the U.K. than London Bruce......

"Services now account for two thirds of UK GDP, and three quarters of employees are engaged in providing services. It is in this sense that the United Kingdom can be regarded as a service economy. This predominance of service industries raises important issues for policy-makers."

That was in 1998. Now it's even more and contributes around 80% of GDP. What did Lincoln say about being better staying silent?

Hardly the same you silly billy...
However, why not Sovereignty, was fundamental to all things Brexit. Also does not belong to them either, it is possible to be believe in sovereign nation and as an example continue to believe in keeping foreign aid commitments. Nuanced I know...
