Yes, but older voters have lived for longer, and are wiser/more experienced. Therefore, they are more likely to take the right decision. I say this as a student myself.
Find it very unusual when people say this. With the Internet, social media, more TV channels etc. there's more information available now than ever, and that's all within seconds. Clearly young people use these platforms a lot more.
I understand that older people have more experience and maybe even wisdom, but you could equally say most people over 65 have retired, aren't in education and don't socialise as much as young people therefore are maybe a bit out of touch.
I actually think young people are making more considered and informed decisions than the older generations based on those I've spoke to, but that's just conjecture of course.
