Hope your girlfriend gets sorted out soon, my Mrs got her redundancy notice just before xmas so I understand how crap things are at the moment, lets see what transpires in the new year.

Well, Peteblue, you have finally got your wish. I sincerely hope it works for the best, but I fear we'll be wringing our hands over the decision to leave in the future as we become the "sick man of Europe" once again, as we were so widely regarded before we joined the EEC.

Chatting to the in-law earlier, he owns a small shop online, photography.

Two weeks ago, they shipped one of their cameras to France for £8.95, today they shipped the same model to France and it cost £15.60, using the same service as well as having to complete an extra customs declaration form.

As a small business, selling a niche product, it’s difficult for them to pass on the costs, or absorb them ( they ship around 18 cameras per week, plus other products they manufacture), so you’ll have to forgive them if they don’t celebrate the great new opportunities.

One example, sure many other experiences will follow.
