"Its unsustainable. Thats it"

@Joey66

Yeah, a "manager".

Yeah, a "manager".
that says if there isnt a deal, i dont know if there is or not, neither do Nissan at this piont.
They shut the Barcelona factory down earlier this year rather than Sunderland, seems a bit daft if they now shut the sunderland plant after that decision.
the posts getting quoted , does not put a name to its " bad news for the UK".
I hope its wrong for the people of the North East, we will find out soon enough.
if its no deal the goverment can offer them a sweetheart deal to stay if they wish to, as they will not be resticted by level playing field rules with the EU. lets wait and see.

See it as Nissan flexining it's muscles over what it wants on a weak populist Government... Either way, it's not a very good position for any Government to be in. If it were untrue the upper echelons of Nissan PR machine would have been on the media circuit countering this rumor.

More than likely is, suppose thats big buisness for you, and the rumours of an offer by the goverment to Toyota doing the rounds more than likely Nissan trying to get into a strong bargaining position.
I dont trust this goverment on anything to be honest.

That wasnt the narrative a few years back though was it?

You know, the one about easy trade deals, and No Deal being project fear?

Which everyone voted for, with their eyes wide open. Apparently.

How this goes:

a bad thing can’t happen if we do this

you might have heard a bad thing is happening but it isn’t really

the people complaining about the bad thing happening are doing us all down

the bad thing has happened but we are better off without it anyway

yes the bad thing happened years ago but that was someone else who used to be in charge of our party, we have made it better now

you remember that bad thing happening? well if we lose power then the people who opposed it then will make it a million times worse

Wonder where taking back control fits in to all this?

People vote Tory and every other party on a narrative that in reality rarely end up being the thing they were promisted , its mostly what is the best of the rest that gets voted through.
People voted for brexit for many reasons same as people voted to stay for many reasons, thats there choice, we are leaving so lets see what happens.
I dont for one minute think if they do a deal it will be anything like most people have were expecting.
The goverment will then have the country both stay and leave saying was it really worth the bother.
Wonder where taking back control fits in to all this?
well thats something else who really controls big buisness and the affect the global multi nationals have on all counties in the west, not just in the EU and UK?
