But apparently Barnier has said differently. And there is nothing to stop the EU from doing so. Yet you never believe that perhaps, just perhaps, it is the EU leading you up the garden path. You are always willing and eager to believe that U.K. is bad and Eu is good, maybe, just maybe, you might believe that this is not always the case....I won’t hold my breath....

Why would Frost say differently to the agreement he signed?

I’ve said all along that the NI issue was not an issue between the ROI and the U.K., back in 2016 the Irish Leader Kenny admitted that the border issue could be sorted between the U.K. and ROI. The only party that made it an issue and politicised it was the Eu and specifically so they held something above our heads. Barnier made a mistake, he used the threat too early and now Boris has reacted. The EU will now lose this card held up their sleeve, the U.K. will no longer be a naive player and the EU now know that the U.K. is not bluffing. Barnier is a busted flush and will be seen as such by the Eu... I struggle to understand why, living in the U.K., you always take the side of the Eu without ever giving credence to the U.K. position.....

Fingers crossed you grow out of ‘but say nice things, you big meanie’ soon

Barnier knows what our rules are, we are using them at this precise moment. If in the future we wish to change them, the Eu will be notified, just like every other country does...

what Barnier is basically saying is that to import food into the EU then your food establishments must adhere to the regulations in 852 & 853/2004 and ensure compliance with 178/2002

Barnier can simply not delist a third country, that’s not how it works. It’s the same with any country that imports food in the EU, with the exception of New Zealand who have a equivalence agreement due to their standards being higher than most countries. As such they have ease of access when subject to SPS checks.

The EU have signed the withdrawal agreement, just as the UK has, and it was the UK that brought this issue up again by saying they want to break that international agreement. You're being hoodwinked Pete. I try and side with the evidence before me, and I've quoted you verbatim from the withdrawal agreement listed on the government's website. It can't really be more clear, but because your government tell you the sky is pink you refuse to believe otherwise. That's not good.
