I am eagerly awaiting a similar link and your pronouncement of good job or bad job.....

There you go. The fact that it exists, so quickly is evidence of good work. Because it seemingly fills the gap of the EU-JP deal, albeit I've not seen anything to suggest it replicates or goes beyond that deal.

You apparently have. So let's have it...

But let's face it, not a patch on the Germans.

Hahaha....yet during discussions, in English, they would ask to break off and discuss something in German, so we would sit there quietly until we resumed in English. It took them many months to twig that the chief engineer I always brought with me spoke perfect German.....

If you don't mind me observing, you seem to have a bit of an inferiority complex when it comes to our German friends Pete.

For me, you only have to look at the respective leaders of both countries to see the different world they occupy at the moment. Merkel will go down as a titan of modern history, Johnson's only legacy will be featuring alongside the likes of Ronald McDonald and Pennywise in "Famous Clowns" quiz rounds.

This is the exact same document I posted hours ago....
Exactly and as I pointed out to you, the fact that a deal has been reached is a success for the civil service, because getting it an agreement with a country like Japan, at a time when the UK are threatening not to honour international agreements is on balance, a good thing.

There is however, very little in that on the detail of what that agreement actually says other than the fluff from the UK Government. On the face of it, it plugs the gap off not being privy to the EU-JP. But does it replicate that deal? Does it improve the UK position? Will it provide net benefit to the UK? Where have we compromised? I don't know
