Why do you think the political establishment have scapegoated the people making the crossing to Dover Pete?

I don’t think they have. The numbers have gone up, the French know what they are doing and ignoring it. The lad who died recently was apparently denied his asylum application by France, so what did they do with him, nothing, they just leave him to try to get to the U.K. This is a cynical approach by France and the EU. These people have travelled through how many countries ? I appreciate they want to get to the U.K., and I have no problem in allowing in those who are genuine asylum seekers, but you do have to ask the question why do they risk their lives to come over here, when you and others are so desperate to be allowed into the EU.....

As his asylum application was rejected he was obliged to leave France. He could have gone to Germany but tried get to England.
What does the UK do with turned down asylum seekers? Put them in prison or deport them or just leave it upto them to find another country.

If an EU country turns down a request for asylum, do you think they can just swan around Europe until they find someone. France should have dealt with it.
