I tell you what mate, this is going to be seriously interesting in the next few hours I think.
Yep, people have generally been conditioned to vote according to their own financial interests over the last few decades, and assuming that to be the case, deprived areas that receive Eu cash need more margin than the Newcastle result 'cos the south could be a high pro-brexit count.

Down form 1.50 to 1.43

Absolute carnage this is causing betting wise at the moment, fascinating stuff. The market is starting to right itself a bit - I think the situation was if Sunderland had been tight or even a small Remain win it was all over. That 61% leave has spooked a few but actually doesn't really change the overall picture which is probably still a Remain win.

Anthropologically I do wonder why Newcastle and Sunderland's political results are so different, any reasonable suggestions?

What the hell is all this?

Those who want to leave should just leave. There's nothing stopping them.

Seriously though, if I have to do a load of paperwork to stay in Spain because Britain leaves the EU, I'm going to be really disappointed.

I now regret quaffing half my beers in 2 hours after farage's statement. I don't think the rest will last the night.
