Come on lads, Rev up the banter machine! Let’s have a jolly old laugh whilst making ill-informed decisions and draping ourselves in Union Jacks. Oi oi!
Conversely we have lads wrapping themselves in EU flag being very serious that we are still members as before after the 01.02.2019 because of transition period, nine nine.
Between the two camps all there is left is to laugh them!

Bloke who doesn't appear to know what year it is might have the self awareness not to laugh at others.

Yorkshire, the county that opposes non-white cricket players?

I reckon Yorkshire probably has more non-white cricket players than anywhere in the UK, Dave.

I don't think the historical board of Yorkshire County Cricket Club are entirely representative of the populous.

Edit: Full disclosure my dad was a B Team county player and a league rep side player for Lancashire, I bow to noone in my opposition to YCCC. But I really dont think you can paint the entire county as a bad bunch of racists based on their selectors in the 80s.

Why's their badge a white rose then eh?

On a serious note, there has been a growing tendency for far right extreme nationalists to take root in Yorkshire which is worrying.

Reading through this thread and noting some , note some , of the more ardent leavers and their articulation of their beliefs I’m not sure I’d trust them to boil a kettle or set the sky plus so if you don’t mind I’ll probably continue to look after myself .

If you need to get out and conquer the world though I’m suspecting in your case that’s a job you normally subby out so you best get scrolling through your phone .
@peteblue is only planning to conquer the bits that he hasn't yet nuked.

And it's all because of their Asian communities love of cricket.

You see them far right cricket oppositionists all the time, uncovering pitches, not doing their turn on the tea rota, not putting up umpires. Yup, as a county they just hate non-white cricketers.

Especially the likes of Everton Weekes, Richie Richardson, Inziman Ul Haq and Sachin Tendulkar all of whom played for Yorkshire.

Don't think it has anything to do with cricket. I didn't make any sort of suggestion to that effect.

However, as I said, far right and extreme nationalistic politics seems to have made a home in Yorkshire.

Never been one to make myself seriously but needs must and all that...

So back to the task in hand. So Brttish MEPs are to be fully active as other member state MEPs once we move into this transition period.

I would like to understand your reasoning on why you believe this to be the case?

As my understanding is British MEPs are on weeks notice as from the 01.02.2020, to hand back voting passes and clear offices etc. Hence the term 'rule takers'.

Your understanding is correct. I had (incorrectly) assumed that British MEPs would remain active during the transition period, but it would appear not.
