This is not politics and it’s not a joke. The U.K. has decided to leave the EU. Now we must ensure that the U.K. gets the best relationship, financially and politically, that we want. This will affect people for the next 30 years and we need to get it right. It would help if political parties actually got behind our government and stopped trying to extend, reverse, undermine, our negotiations........
Ha Ha Ha.

Even the most positive of professional Bregsiteers recognise there will be down turn in the economy with a hard Bregsit, which would blow Johnson spending plans in this parliament. The alternative which matches Johnsons electioneering spending plans is wholesale continuation of EU regulations, so rule taker rather than maker, so being a small EU competitor is a natural and logical position for the UK to embrace.
Eh oop! That's not ma Bregsit.

There's going to be some confused and angry serfs out there soon. I'm looking forward to their stupid gammon heads spinning off when they finally realise that the nazi clown has had them all off.

Bojo Boris aka Johnson has a 80 seat majority, no political party stands in his way, only the harsh reality of Brexit and Johnson himself.

Time for Brexiteers to man up and grow a pair, the time to debate was over on the morning of December 13th, action is what they voted for not a liteny, its everyone else's fault, that's just pathetic.

Wasn't this what the election was for?

To get a parliament that could deliver the Brexit that was voted for. The excuse of being politically undermined becomes redundant if you have a majority of 80.

Indeed, and tbh no one even cares about what Labour or the Libs say or do, it would just be nice if for once they showed some kind of recognition or glimmer of unity. But that’s expecting too much I suppose......

As someone who gets paid in Euro I can assure you that it beats getting paid in salt. Hell, its even better than getting paid in Sterling as the financial markets seem to have more confidence in it.

The idea continuously portrayed by former politicians in the British media that the Euro is a failing currency is a complete myth. You only have to live or work outside the UK to understand that.

But the Empire strikes back, yada, yada..
This is very true. Many places in S E Asia do not want Pounds any more. If you can't pay in local currency they want US Dollars or Euros.

All the opposition can do is highlight areas of concern also for future reference, which is basic role and condition of any democratic opposition.
This is now a pure Brexit government noone else to blame but Johnson Brexit government. It appears as it often does in the cold light of day, the grass is not looking greener. 'cough cough' we told you so!

And still that pesky Irish Border won't go away.

Let brexit happen first and then see.

Also let's see how the EU does with 17billion less money coming in after we withdraw, by far it's biggest military power and of course the British security services.

EU has no leverage here, it's on its knees hoping no one else leaves.

If it's no deal the EU lose out on 32billion can they really afford to do that. I don't think people realise just how much leverage Johnson has here.

Why? They presumably still think it's a terrible idea. Their job should be to hold the government to account.

As you say, Parliamentary arithmetic means there is no reason why Johnson now can't deliver the Brexit people voted for. If he doesn't then that's on him and those that voted for it.

With that victory comes ownership. People can't claim the Brexit they get wasn't what they voted for. It sould be for Remainers to shout back 'you won get over it!'

Even the most positive of Brexiteers acknowledge an economic UK down turn on a no deal, which would perversely restrict Johnsons spending plans in this parliament, winner winner chicken dinner. :)

The EU have been quite open in believing our withdrawal as being a bad situation for all parties, including themselves. We are a valued member of the union, so of course they are going to miss us. I'm perhaps misreading things, but I sense a "up yours Fritz" tone to your post, which would be really quite sad, so hopefully I've misread it.
