Not him personally as he chickened out of that one, but it helps clear the picture a bit for the Conservatives....

Not particularly. Brexit Party have been, unsurprisingly, doing pretty poorly going by most data. They are still standing in places the Tories need to win and the Tories need to take seats in the places the Brexit Party are standing. It's a bonus for the Tories sure, but it's not as big a deal as Farage and certain Tories would like to make out

I agree....

100% exactly right. It's why this utter nonsense in here recently about Farage being the most effective politician going is complete trash. This should be seen as it is - the Brexit Party couldn't even put out 600 remotely serious candidates. Probably can't even put out 60. It'll be met with nothing more than a shrug in Tory HQ... exactly how it should have been met at the Labour HQ. In fact they should have come out positive, and said "brilliant, we can beat the devil on our doorstep, embarrass them with our message of hope" etc etc.

But instead:

This is a Nigel Farage and Boris Johnson alliance with Donald Trump to sell out our country and send £500m per week from our NHS to US drugs companies. We urge voters to reject this Thatcherite 1980s tribute act, which would lead to more savage Tory attacks on working class communities. Our NHS is not for sale."
Ian Lavery, Labour Party chairman
Utterly ridiculous Bogeyman politics - Farage [tick] Johnson [tick] Trump [tick] Thatcher [tick] Death of NHS [tick]. Anyone with even the merest hint of comms or marketing experience would tell you that saying anything "£xm per week... NHS" triggers in the minds of many distrust and uncertainty, due to its close parallel with the biggest political lie of this century on the side of a bus.

WTF are they doing.

Well it certainly proves that there's no real distinction between the Tories and the Brexit Party. Not that this is at all complimentary to the Tories.

Totally different, the Tories promised to deliver on the referendum, and after Remainers messing it about it now looks like that’s exactly what Boris will do. The Brexit Party also want to deliver on the referendum, so while they both wish to deliver on the referendum which shamefully Labour and the LD’s refuse to do, after that single issue they go their own way....

As has been said before Pete, Johnson has been bigged up as a master negotiator, yet hasn't managed to persuade many, if any people who didn't back Brexit that it's a good thing. I'm sure you agree that the prime minister is supposed to govern for the entire country, and not just the minority who vote for them in an election? He's blatantly failed at the foremost job of the prime minister.

I don’t think he’s failed at anything yet. So far it’s been a single issue premiership. Once Brexit is done we will see what he is like for the whole country, I think he will surprise many people......

It is so so hard to take you seriously when you say things like this. And the 'I think he will surprise many people...' comment. What do you think he's actually going to do?

He's failed at getting Brexit done by Halloween and lost his first goodness knows how many votes in the Commons. It's arguably the worst start of any British prime minister.
