So what constitutes taking no deal off the table, a delay till January?? If that’s what’s offered with a December election and he refuses then we’ll know for sure he’s all bluster. The only way for him to get his requirements is to be in power with a majority.
Taking no deal off the table for the rebel alliance means customs union + confirmatory referendum tacked onto the deal

If no deal is genuinely no longer a prospect I would welcome a general election as with johnson being an un-elected pm it is probably the right thing to do. But stopping the cash grab of no deal should be the priority, I haven't kept up on the minutiae of the last weeks dealings so you probably know more than me on that.

Personally it will suit me as I will be working out of the country so I won't have to endure the tory machine in full flow and daily mail-esque arguments being flung every day, and what in my personal opinion are exciting and life changing policies being ignored or ridiculed by men with no empathy. I have no faith in our electorate and fully expect the worse, at least without a no deal that could possibly limit the pain johnson will cause people for profit.

So you don’t agree with Corbyn then, because I think his idea of what constitutes ‘no deal off the table’ is very different to yours

I totally agree, but my criticism of Corbyn (and I don’t want to turn this into another rant at him) is that he needs to be clear what he means by No Deal off the table. It can never be ruled out because it is the default position, so a clear message of his requirements for this scenario is a must.

but, and I remain adamant on this, a GE is the only way out of this mess to at least try and get a majority one way or the other. I’m on the fringes of this and it’s killing me, it’s the first time I’ve considered looking for a new position because it is that bad with the mess it’s causing.

Well true, and that's probably why they are misnamed.

Because a customs union and second referendum are selling out totally to the Empire, which the actual Rebel Alliance would never have done.

If everyone could have just knuckled down under the trade federation the whole shemozzle could have been averted. What was so bad about them anyway?
