It looks to me like the EU are steamrollering the UK in these negotiations (or rather Johnson), knokcing down 'principles' left, right and centre. It looks like a capitualtion for political expediency: the Tories want ANY deal and hope to cash in on "getting it done" in a GE to be fought shortly after.

Farage will have a field day with this.

Politically it doesn’t really matter. If Boris gets a deal, he will win any resultant GE. If he doesn’t get a deal through or the U.K. Parliament rejects it, he say he tried for the U.K. and will win any resultant GE.....

Johnsons backers and adviser stand to make a fortune off a No Deal. Thats been the only game in town imo.

HOC will not back this, he will do some trick to get round the Benn Act and Bingo.

Hope I am wrong.
