What should have been a win/win has turned into something else because of a weak PM in May and an EU wanting to come up with the worst of deals. The only good thing to come out of this mess is that we are probably better prepared to walk away....

We clearly aren't better prepared than the EU, otherwise we wouldn't have asked them for help to get our own house in order.

The point you initially made wasn't that it was regrettable that both sides will be harmed, your point, the thing you were crafting as a positive, was that we will be harmed but so will the EU. There is nothing positive about that - it's spiteful, vindictive and will be the most pyrrhic of 'victories'.

You need to stop thinking about lofty individuals making money. 17.4 million people voted to leave, they are not all rich. There are many reasons for each individual, I don’t know them, I just know my own, but they are still reasons. Perhaps instead of vilifying these people, you tried to understand them.....
