I have just seen that Phil Hogan ( Ireland ) has been announced as the new EU Trade Commissioner ie EU Chief Trade Negotiator
Hopefully this means that if/ when Brexit happens that the EU will be more likely to give Britain a good deal as it helps Ireland more to have a good trading relationship with Britain
However it means that the backstop will have to stay if Britain wants to have a good deal with the EU as the backstop is crucial for trade and security on the whole island of Ireland

I wouldn't bank on it. He's pretty scathing in his assessment of brexitiers.

Why do you think that austerity policies were implemented from 2010 by the Tories? To set groups of people against each other to detract from the real aim of feathering their own and their chums in banking and hedge funds nests.....Cameron was spooked by Farage/ukip and the far right swivel eyed loonies in his own party so he offered the referendum, expecting the UK to vote remain. The leave campaign told lie after lie building on the divisions already created within the country...........there was no plan for leaving in an orderly and sensible manner and so we have the same deep divisions and rancour between various groups.......now there is talk of a pact between the Tories and the brexit party......we could be sliding towards a dictatorship......sound familiar?

So a pact between Corbyn and his cronies, the Lib Dems, the SNP and the Welsh is OK?

No mate. I work with client’s day in day out talking about leaving the Eu and getting rid of immigrants and immigrants claiming benefits etc etc. It’s the uncomfortable truth for you guys that the leave vote was fuelled by racist and xenophobic motives. Don’t fancy your bedfellows much.

You are happy with a far right dictatorship then that is your prerogative and choice....I fear that is what we are going blindfolded into. By "Welsh" I presume you mean Plaid Cymru? As far as I can see the brexit party has no policies other than leaving the EU; the Tories have shoved all discussion of the many other problems faced by the country on the back burner in order to achieve a no deal brexit, imo. And btw I never mentioned Corbyn or any other groupings in my post.....you just presumed.
