You a trawler man? If so, I will listen and learn about a subject that has long bewildered me, going back to the cod wars with Iceland, iirc.

If not, tell me how that impacts on your life. Which was my actual point.
Well if we stayed in, it would only be a matter of time before they half-inched a good chunk of our financial services, which France and Germany have had their eyes on for some time. At least when we're out, we can put up a fight instead of losing it by diktat.

Or Grimsby, or Hull or ............ insert appropriate trawler port in Scotland.

The report comes as the UK draws closer to leaving the EU and access to funding bodies such as the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) also is cut off; the UK will continue to participate in programs such as the EMFF until 2020, and projects not completed by the UK’s exit date from the EU will be fully funded under a UK Treasury guarantee. After 2020 funding will be determined by the UK government.

You really should read stuff before you post them from abroad mate.

In less than 18 months EU funding stops. Not there are that many votes for Johnson in the fishing industry.

Whats that got to do with fish?

You spoke about financial services the other day so maybe get down to the City and ask their opinion too (assuming we won't be achieving global stardom by virtue of our fishing industry).

Once we leave EU we can rebuild our fishing fleet which will have a positive impact on jobs, communities, the economy etc, so please don't knock a good thing.

There is no such thing as EU money. It is all recycled members contributions once EU have taken a stack for themselves. Free of our membership contributions we will be able to subsidise our own fishing industry far better than so called EU funding ever did.

Just compare the UK trawler fleet pre 1973 with our trawler fleet now. EU has destroyed it.

Er, didn't you see Brucie's post?

No. I was responding to you, which was about fish. I said I have little knowledge of it, and it has long bewildered me. As you said I should visit Brixham, I was hoping you tell me what impact any stuff will have on your life. Not difficult I would have thought.
