Without even looking into this, I'm 100% confident you will find this will be a call for an agreement between European countries to provide warships to escort convoys of European ships through the straights of Hormuz during the current conflict. Makes absolute sense if you ask me.

But some remain supporter obviously sees it as an opportunity to twist it to suit their agenda. As I've said all along, it isn't just one side that misrepresents the truth to suit their purpose in the Brexit saga.
This is another example why we are stronger together.

You’re talking to a brick wall mate. For the next 30 years we’re going to be hearing the line ‘its the remainers fault’ as we disappear further down the rabbit hole.

Not quite sure how it’s the remainers fault that people got racist all of a sudden mind you. But hey.
Racist? It's got nothing to do with racism as far as I'm concerned, it's about how I voted for a common market in 1974, not a European Super State. I'm just amazed I was given the chance to vote again, and more amazed that my side won. If those remainers who were either too lazy, or too over-confident, to feel the need to vote had got off their backsides and actually voted, rather than bitch about wanting a second referendum, then we wouldn't be in this position.

If anyone is to blame it's that coward Cameron who used the referendum promise to gain votes and then resigned when it blew up in his face. In my opinion, with hindsight, it is obvious that it would have been better if Remain had won, but they didn't so, like those of us who were hoookwinked in 1974, the Remainers with just have to suck it up.

As far as you are concerned, sure. But it's an indisputable fact that Brexit was driven in large part by the extreme right wing and, yes, a sizeable amount of racists.

That doesn't mean I'm calling you a racist for voting that way - I'm simply saying racists, for their own reasons, voted the same way.

Not all people who voted for Brexit are racists, but all racists voted for Brexit. There was literally zero reason for a racist to vote remain.

All racists? Do you have proof of that? Maybe those who have suffered at the hands of the dregs of Europe who have come to live here (my daughter for one - and they were Poles, who are not ALL hard-working builders, plumbers etc) though not racists, agree with me that we have enough spongers of our own without importing more who wish to take advantage of our hospitality. But that is probaby (note I don't say "definitely' as I have no proof) just one aspect, albeit not a small one, of why Leavers voted the way they did.

OK, so I can go and live in Romania if I so wish, but if Romania is such a nice place to live why do Romanian thugs come to live here? I have no problem at all with decent, hard-working EU citizens, and genuine asylum-seekers coming to live in the UK, and don't want them to be repatriated when we leave. I do worry though that there will be a rush to get here before the Brexit window slams shut.

I also think that whole of the island of Ireland belongs to the Irish - God knows why any would want to be associated with Britain, given our history towards the the Irish. Maybe that would be a quick fix to the backstop too, even though it's as likely as Boris not becoming the next leader of the Conservative Party.

I've heard some of them operate a shady network of locations called Polski Skleps
