Rees mogg today

"I’d actually say it was the failure of the prime minister to negotiate at all effectively, to come back with a very bad deal that didn’t deliver Brexit properly, paid £39bn for nothing, left us in 21 months of vassalage and a potentially un-ending backstop.

He voted for the deal on Friday.

British politics for you

and you know this how septic peg ?
What are your thoughts on Corbyn and May sorting out Brexit for you?

Thankfully Rees-Mogg and his band of saboteurs won't be able interfer and the country can have the Brexit it wants - finally!

Corbyn: like a true modern Prometheus; democracy stolen by Parliament and Corbyn will rise to claim it back and deliver it to the people!

I actually think it's worse than that. He's not a stupid man, so he must know full well that the £39bn is our contribution for the remainder of the transition period, so we get an awful lot in return for it. To suggest we get absolutely nothing is frankly absurd, so you can only assume it's a dog whistle to members of the public who don't actually have a clue what the EU is.

When you put it in that way, it's a very wealthy, quite intelligent person, openly manipulating the naive and ignorant, and you ask yourself to what end is he doing that?

I think this is why 'divorce bill' is unhelpful as it largely invokes an idea that it is the price we pay to leave, rather than the contribution we have agreed to make to the EU for our continued membership.

this deal of Mays, the ONLY deal will never in a million years go thro Parlaiment.

Macron and the EU are already intimating that they are getting sick of us and there is no point in any extention..

that leaves one option.

To leave the EU without a deal .. and guess what, this is what the referendum result was , 3 years ago

ive had enough of politicians telling us they are doing their very best to deliver Brexit.. they've done their very best to AVOID Brexit at any cost, even to the cost their own country by tying us into this catastrophic deal.

NO DEAL. and get on with it

And yet it works, as people repeat it verbatim without really understanding what it means. Much like the 'vassal state' remark.

Why have you mentioned @Joey66 here please?
Referencing our chat about Guy Fawkes intentions when plotting the overthrow of the King.
He was an English Catholic, who fought in the 80 years war, against the English and our allies. He wanted to assassinate the King and establishment to replace them with a 9 year old, when the dominant religion was Protestantism. 'will of the people!'

In many respects his failure allowed Cromwell's influence to move the country away from monarchy towards parliamentary dominance.

Now given that you've quoted Cromwell and Guy Fawkes as figures to be heralded, it does seem a position which is slightly at odds with itself.
