Rees-Mogg on on Radio 4 Today explaining in his usual drone of banality explaining that the Government and Corbyn were betraying the country because they were trying to deliver Brexit.

Not the Brexit he and every other 17.4m people voted for though - which is a hard Brexit apparently. Incidentally a terrible interview which contained no challenge to the above point, but tried to paint him as an Islamophobe over his AfD tweet.

The interview was ironically followed up with a feature about a massive snake.

We, the electorate, have been stitched up like a kipper. May will be seen as the most craven PM in modern history, as we completely surrender to the EU and it’s UK based quislings.

We are not leaving, the vote has been reversed by a bunch of treacherous egotists in the HoC. Anyone for burning the place down ?......

New user name required after this, how about Pete Fawkes?

Good to see May is working closely with Corbyn. Finally there might be some progress towards agreeing a deal and delivering the will of the people and getting us out if the EU!

Brexit means Brexit!

I have always liked and admired Peter Oborne, but this popcorn in today's Mail beats almost anything else he has come up with:

Also, have you filmed yourselves tearing up your membership cards and put it on Twitter yet @peteblue ? Other tories here?

I am not a member of any political party....

Wonder why that is:.

If anyone thinks that the USA want us to leave for anything other than it helps undermine the EU block by taking away 66 million people, which in turn helps the US stack up better against it in the fight for outside investment. Then they are crackers.

Any deal negotiated with them will also be heavily weighted in their favour. A petrol station doesn't rock up to BP etc. and start dictating what the terms of their future agreement will be.

My summary of the US- UK negotiation strategy

I accept it's only a strategy, but it does give some indication of the US direction of travel.

I live in hope. For me it presents the greatest opportunity for 17.4m people to get the Brexit they wanted.

Brexit means Brexit and it's finally being delivered.
If she's being genuine. With her extraordinary track record there's also the possibility that she's stalling and/or attempting to create the appearance that Labour share some of the blame for her outcome.

That's definitely the case. I think the intention is that she can go to Labour and seek the support for her deal, but it puts additional pressure on Labour to fund a route out of the impasse. It also allows Tories to say 'look we tried' if it all's comes to a head and forces the ERG into backing Brexit as the alternative between that and possibly remaining - which May become more likely if the 'No Deal' legislation is passed and the default largely becomes long extension or a soft Brexit.
