That's interesting. Some political journalist just threw in the possibility of a general election on the euro election day. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone. Hadn't thought of that.

Is 6 weeks canvassing enough? Get it done as far as I'm concerned. Let's see if one side or the other can get a sufficient majority. The uncertainty has gone on long enough.

Still the danger that one of the 27 can scupper it though.

Yep. I think that's it now. Macron won't allow an extension.

That’s entirely possible I think the French in particular are fed up of us .

On whether it’s a good day for leave or remain , in various interviews I’ve heard both declaring it’s a good day for them and supporters of each side saying the opposing position have had a good day . So again I suggest nobody has the slightest clue where we are .

Keeps us in the pocket of the EU basically, and if they wanted to get awkward in future deals they could have us by the balls indefinitely.

Their is a reason or two why her own cabinet members and vast swathes of her backbenchers do not want anything to do with it.

I was under the impression that the backstop only applied so long as we had no trade deal that prevented a hard border with Ireland. What am I missing?

its like this now fella's

the deal that is on the table will NEVER be accepted , doesn't matter who is incharge of our country, the EU have said there will be no ammendments at all...

so our only option is a NO DEAL … we must get ready for it

what a patronising post.

Mate seriously every major leave campaigner was talking about the deal , not no deal .

I’ve posted this about three times or more

Daniel hannan’s

“Absolutely nobody is talking about threatening our place in the Single Market”

farage

“Wouldn't it be terrible if we were really like Norway and Switzerland? Really? They're rich. They're happy. They're self-governing”

Aaron banks

“Increasingly, the Norway option looks the best for the UK”

Matthew Elliot

“The Norwegian option, the EEA option, I think that it might be initally attractive for some business people”

Owen Patterson

“Only a madman would actually leave the single Market”

So those at least didn’t campaign for no deal or apparently vote for it

I think its best you start readying yourself for a no deal now buddy

I think there is deffo a real chance of no deal but if you think that it’s the only option then I’m going to say you’re wrong . No way this is an obvious only one way this goes position , it’s just not that simple . It’s 12/5 for a no deal , so if it’s a forgone conclusion mate then I’d get stuck in at that price

yes, every person who voted to leave wasn't aware of any 'deal' at the time.
right, because there was none, but they were promised there would be one.
So they voted leave based on the knowledge that there would be a deal.
Which is very different to
"as a leave voter , all the other leavers I know voted for a no deal originally thinking that is what the referendum was... I am quite sure thats what the 17.4 m voted for too."
