We voted OUT with the devout promise that the once in a life time vote would be honoured sent in a leaflet costing £9 million ........if Remain had won by 1& a half million votes we would have remained in the EU......
A few moans not over 3000 pages on here...
Democracy is a process not a vote, which seems to be completely lost on some people. The whole point is it is a system which allows for adaptation to changing circumstance. It is not one person's veiw or opinion.

People banding about 'legal', 'democracy', 'sovereignty', 'rule of law', while having no clue what they actually mean.

It should hopefully go without saying that none of the other mods are expected to kowtow or anything of the sort. If they feel that I've overstepped then I'd fully expect them to say so, just as they would with anyone else. I might be all kinds of a disgrace, but they're good eggs.

No need Bruce. You are a very fair mod, the best in my opinion, and this section of the forum would not exist without you. I personally have nothing but respect for the way you behave, even if I reject your views. It’s just emotions, Brexit does that to people.......that Roydo mind.... lol

1. I'm not talking about his stance on the EU. I'm talking about his insults.

2. As I can only call up my posts from 4th February 2019, I cannot pull up all those from 24th June 2016. But take his recent 'nutters' for starters, with his direct quote '@' to me immediately after that sentence.

Bruce is a good guy. Everyone falls from high standards, I’ve done it myself,. The argument is getting close to finalisation, and we still don’t know what will happen. We need to ignore any personal comments because they are surely not meant.....,

Can I just concur with everything Pete has just put.

He's a good lad ........ but he has given me more warnings than @AndyC , and that is saying something lol lol lol lol

Yawn.......so if the MPs tomorrow come up with a Bobby dazzler way around Brexit a massive consensus it should get ignored then according to you........
That's an odd conclusion to draw from what I have just quoted at you.

One vote, and the outcome of that vote does make a democracy, nor does any vote relating to Brexit. Democracy is the system not the vote itself. You cease to be a democracy if you are unable to adapt or respond to evidence based deliberation and facts.

I know you want YOUR vote honoured, but that is possibly the most simplistic notion of democracy you can ascribe.

And this nonesense about 'well it is in the manifesto' so we cannot renage on it is ludicrous as well. How many policies and manifesto promises have been ditched by this government?

Balancing the books by 2017, dementia Tax, “secure the entitlements of EU nationals in Britain and British nationals in the EU.”, electrifying northern rail line routes, increasing mental health funding in the NHS. All gone despite being manifesto pledges.

Bring back taxing Dementia sufferers because @Joey66 says it's the will of the people!

Fetching dementia into an EU thread you really are scraping the barrel .......avoiding answering my original post direct ...
Very offensive to people who have relations suffering with dementia on the GOT....
