It makes sense that a pro-EU Prime Minister has failed to challenge the EU. The main thing that has been revealed by this referendum is that the majority of MPs are at odds with millions of voters, and that both parties are affected by this. It is a serious crisis of legitimacy in a country which purports to be democratic; the situation is almost as bad as the current crisis of democracy in France. Only an idiot would have expected the Tories or Labour to see through a process which they find actively undesirable and voted against. Simply exposing the rupture and the crisis of representation was the greatest achievement of the referendum, no matter what happens next. With any luck, the Conservative and Labour parties will be destroyed by this.
Well then going by that logic they majority of MPs are in step with “millions of voters” as well.
That is the arrogance of the Brexit minded voters.
The referendum result was a photo finish, and that in a Poll where onky around half the population voted.
Yet they make out like this is some sort of a popular movement which won on a landslide...and have tried to bully the rest of us into diving off’ve the cliff edge with them.
