The EU made the promises, and delivered on them, that facilitated Republican agreement to the GFA.

In a nutshell, the removed many of the triggers for conflict and gave a reason to negotiate with Britain.

That is crucial in my book.

So many various protagonists involved. Hard to actually be sure who had biggest impact.

The role of the ordinary people was key to me though. People were sick and tired of the sickening violence and wanted to live quietly in peace with their neighbours.

Tim, you are exactly the sort of person I hope has a place at the table to discuss our shared future. It has to work for us all, not some selfish party political game that May is delivering.

Read the demographics, see where it is going an plan it now.

The demographics do point to unification in the medium term. Maybe 20-30 years. But the way the world is right now, nothing is inevitable or certain in politics. Things change all the time. I have no idea what's down the line. I have no idea what's down the line in the next fortnight.

Who do we see as a replacement and will they offer anything different at all.

The EU have remained consistent in saying that is the Only deal they will put up with.. So that rules out making any changes..

The only other option is no deal??

There will be a border poll with 5 years. You are way off with 20- 30.

I’m not saying it will be Unification, that’s 50/50. My point is, it is happening and we should learn from Brexit and plan accordingly.
