I voted no in the first Scottish indyref, and voted remain for the same reasons - I like freedom of movement and think the world is a better place when we work for the good of all. As we spiral towards a no deal, I'm thinking that indyref2 is only a matter of years away, if that. This time I will be voting yes as will a lot of no voters from last time, I see the break up of the UK as inevitable now, and I'm not sure this is a bad thing. (seems odd that the DUP have hastened there very idea of hell)
If that's what the majority of people in Scotland and Northern Ireland vote for then so be it. I'm all for following the democratic vote me.

I'm not advocating a no deal though mate. I've said often enough it will be a nightmare. I'm trying to come up with some idea's that will prevent a no deal, or at least prevent a hard border in Ireland. I just prefer it not to be Northern Ireland being in the customs union/single market because of the issues we would then have with Scotland.

Actually I've just thought of another issue you may be able to help me with. The current backstop involves the whole of the UK being involved in the customs union, but Northern Ireland also being in the single market to ensure freedom of movement. But we already have freedom of movement between the Republic and the North under the CTA. Can I read into that the EU are not going to honour the terms of the CTA. Otherwise why include the single market clause. Or am I missing something.?
I didn't mean you personally, by 'you' I meant the UK. Very few are advocating a no deal which why everything will be done on all sides to avoid it happening.

The CTA is a long-standing agreement between our two nations regarding the movement of people and the rights to work in each others countries, etc. There is no reason why the EU would object to its continuance post-Brexit. As the Single Market is an economic entity concerned primarily with the movement of goods, special provision had to be made in the case of NI so that the all-island economy can continue to prosper. The two separate entities are not dependent on each other for either to exist.
