Khal,
Given all that is going on with Parliament at the moment, I thought the lyrics were rather apt, whichever side of the Brexit divide one is on.
I've been a big fan of Moby Grape for decades, even though they did produce their fair share of rubbish along with the gems. But when they got it right, they were stellar - I still play the 'Moby Grape 69' album in the car regularly.

I hope others take a listen to the track I posted and enjoy it, as well as understanding my light-hearted take on present proceedings...

Indeed.

I always associate the Grape with a wave of bands prevalent on the Coast in the mid to late 60s.

Country Joe, the Mothers, the Dead, the Airplane, Big Brother etc.

Not that they were all the genre musically....just they were all tapped into the prevailing zeitgeist and the coolest kids in the schoolyard were carrying Truly Fine Citizen or Cheap Thrills under their arms.

I feel sorry for kids today in that regard....they are missing out on so much, musically speaking.

And yes, those Grape lyrics are still relevant when applied to the current state of politics in Brexit era England, half a century after they were written.

I hope we remain in the EU then Joey because any crap deal will be worse than that, much worse, you've got MP's gathering trying to take no deal out the equation though passing laws on it, the only trump card we have left, the EU and Barnier must be rolling about on the floor at just how bad we are at this stuff.

The EU are known for caving in at the 11th hour but we continue to not only shoot ourselves in the foot, but blow the last leg off we are standing on.

I asked this question a few days ago of some leavers but nobody seems to have replied . Who during the campaign was advocating a no deal ? I’ve reposted several times the quotes of farage , banks , hannan , Elliot and Patterson who were all suggesting something different .

Heard that on Sky news last night so not breaking news - keep up please.......
touched on this before its nothing to do with brexit at all, they register there and Malta , because they then come under there rather lax shipping laws and income tax earned on shipping incomes, its why the likes of panama has a more ships registered than the likes of the USA and China combined, and malta now has Europe's biggest fleet.
If your in favour of companies getting rid of home counties workers and replacing them with cheap unregulated labour fine.
its just give the likes of this company the smokescreen they need to get on with this practice by using brexit as an excuse.

What deal Mays deal with the backstop was a disaster - I would like the new trade deal to be legal before leaving not written on the back of a cigarette packet....... the 39 billion explained too? do we really owe 39 billion?......

Its like Dyson he has moved to Singapore leaving a massive factory here yet bigot O'brien reckons he is dodging tax how can he when his factory is still here?
It the UK's fault for stalling on leaving the EU in a orderly fashion with good negotiations 2 and 1/2 years he states he has moved to a growth area, and it's not in the EU,.....

May said no deal was better than a bad deal so she put it on the table, no truer words has she ever spoken, yet still she tries to force a bad deal on the country, shameful.

I don’t know loads about it mate but they did specifically say

“The Cyprus flag is on the ‘white list’ of both the Paris and Tokyo Memoranda of Understanding, resulting in fewer inspections and delays, and will result in significantly more favourable tonnage tax arrangements as the ships will be flagged in an EU member state.”

Yeah sorry mate I accept that but who on the leave campaign was saying a no deal was what was best during the campaign when people voted ? I know now everyone is saying it’s what was voted from but who was saying it ? Most were talking about staying in the single market , major leave figure talking about leaving that being madness .

Exactly, all this fuss over the backstop, but there isn't even a trade deal in the deal, nothing sorted on trade in 2 years of negotiations, the most important issue to deal with bar none.

I’ll give it a proper read later but I’m just saying they’re currently saying that Brexit is responsible although I completely accept it could be a convenient excuse . Obviously you’ve read up on it and Even if it’s being used do you think Brexit had zero impact on the decision or do you think it’s possible it may have been a factor ?
