If it’s true it absolutely beggars belief . It’s clear for many people immigration was an issue so flying in immigrants to replace the Europeans we don’t want seems completely upside down .

It will just be a starting point too. My god if the soft berry industry needs outside employment what happens when another stands up and shouts 'what's good enough for them is good enough for us!'

Before you know it we will be back at the same levels before leaving but have absolutely none of the benefits. Half of me will be really pleased that at least it is annoying the EDL types and the other half will be screaming in rage why we have gone through all this for nothing.

Is 5 years the acceptable amount of time then? Is that a general rule for all votes? Or would you choose as you go along?

Certainly not after two years and before we’ve actually carried out the previous vote......
