I think the extremes will continue whinging, and that the grown ups will get behind it.

It doesn't solve anything though. It just kicks the can down the road.

As a remainer, if I was an 'extremist' on that regard I'd welcome this 'deal' because it's effectively not having Brexit happen for many years. But ultimately I can't support it as it's both stupid and unsustainable.

It's career maintenance from the Tories, frightened of a General Election. People are talking about a 'no confidence' motion in Theresa May now - even if they do it, May will win it, because the Tory jobsworths won't want to lose their jobs.

It's a fiasco. It appeases nobody - not even moderates.

Why would grown ups support sonething which weds us to the same institutions as we are currently in, only now we have no say, and we also pay about 30 billion a year for the privilege.

Yeah exactly this.

We are leaving the EU, and the 'wedding' you talk of is actually something that secures frictionless trade and no hard border etc. I see it as being as close to having your cake and eat it that you could possibly get. Also, they're saying that this is temporary, whilst they work towards a proper deal, which is what is going to happen!

She is a survivor.

Getting past the Cabinet was the hard part.

This will be carried in Parliament IMO.

Completely disagree tbh.

Cabinet was always likely to back it. Turkeys don't vote for Christmas. And they won't give up their nice Jag and other ministerial perks.

Tory backbenchers have nothing to lose really. They don't like the policy. They don't like their leader. They will vote this down. The tories are a ruthless bunch with their own. There is not a mission in the world this goes through parliament.

Can't believe I'm saying this but if May manages to find a way out of this, she's done really well. She was put in an awful position, then made it worse for her self but managing to get a deal past remainers, hard leavers and the unionists, that's some going.... if she can do it.

I'm glad she faced down the DUP but by doing so she has hung a noose around her own neck just to survive for another few days or weeks.

There is no chance that this will get through parliament. It was always a Hobson's choice and the inevitable endgame is just around the corner.

Surely the cabinet OKing it is neither here nor there?

They are the ones who are meant to be yes men to the prime minister as she hand picked them.

It's everyone else that needs to support it and I'm hoping the dup tell her where to stick it over Ireland

The deal in place for the future deal?

Now that would make the whole referendum a joke if that happened.

When do we see this deal like

We don't count
