In my opinion, semantics. A lot of guff is said about Parliament is sovereign. The Government is, Parliament certainly isnt.

Whatever happened to the referendum of a lifetime ? My daughter lives up there take from me their are many zealots in the SNP like every party you can name.......Not really Joe. I doubt the SNP hold the same views as the lunatic fringe that is the DUP.
But I am sure some of our better versed NI/ROI posters can colour in the numbers for me.
They're not opposed to decriminalising abortion and homosexuality though, are they ?You could point st the SNP, and say the same etc etc
Wanting independence again....

Fetching religion into the Brexit deal is very dangerous imo.....

This is a Brexit thread not a DUP thread on religion......They’re vehemently opposed to gay marriage , Paisley Jr said gay relationships were “offensive and obnoxious” in 2005 and in 2007 said he was “pretty repulsed by gay and lesbianism whilst Jim Wells said “Peter will not marry Paul in Northern Ireland”. The party's Assembly member for West Tyrone, Thomas Buchanan, praised an event promoting the rejection of evolution among children "I’m someone who believes in creationism and that the world was spoken into existence in six days by His power.". The DUP's former environment minister sammy Wilson described climate change as a 'con.' They oppose abortion in any circumstances , the closest they came to reconsidering that was leader Arlene Foster agreeing to "carefully consider" a High Court ruling that said banning abortion for rape victims was against British and European human rights laws. Jim Wells, an assembly member and former deputy speaker of the Assembly, said women who have fallen pregnant after being raped should instead consider putting their child up for adoption.
All in all I’m not sure he missed the target by much there with his original post .
I know you hate google but there are loads of interesting bits of info out there .
It's not a DUP thread on regligeous idiology......Like I said, I will let some better versed posters flesh out the DUP mate.
What's that got to do with Brexit - raking that muck up is way off topic .....They're not opposed to decriminalising abortion and homosexuality though, are they ?
