To be fair, they'd be more scared by a Pole.
They have (silver) surfed the greatest increase in living standards, greatest improvements in healthcare, enjoyed the benefits of EU membership more than most, and most likely live in a house they bought for a few bob, now worth considerably more.
Enjoy a pension that their kids can only dream of, and in pig ignorance/fear, are content to pull the drawbridge up in their dotage.
Bit of a generalisation, granted, but does my nut in.
You forgot that they've lived their entire life in peace Reg. Don't forget that.
I just want to live in a society that we all look out for each other.

They have worked their nuts off for 45 years, generated the greatest increase in living standards and healthcare, live in a house they gave up cars and holidays and night outs for and will be leaving their self generated wealth to a bunch of selfish, moaning workshy, who are only interested in flash cars, holidays and drugs.
They enjoy a pension that they worked for, stolen by Gordon Brown, and do everything, and I mean everything, to ensure their spoilt brats enjoy a life they never had, in spite of their kids ignorance....
Bit of a generalism, granted, but bleeding true......
I’m watching the boxing so distracted and I’m not quite 50 but just looking at houses I bought my first house when I was 21 . Just impossible for anybody in that position now , even with a relatively decent job it’s just not happening in the vast majority of cases . Let’s not pretend that that isn’t a ridiculously harder for those about now because it is .
I look forward to a similar balanced reply from yourself to Roydo’s original post.......
