Or Everton might opt out of playing in Europe because UEFA dictates what time the games are on, what ad hoardings go around the ground, what balls we use, they have a say in where Everton can sign players from, the French wont even let us wear our sponsor on our jerseys.
The down side of this is no more great trips to Europe, it will become more difficult for Everton to sign great European players and there might be a revenue drain from the club.
Brexit is kinda like Everton opting out of European competition.

Wouldn’t it be more apt to say Manchester City might win the premier league title in 2018/2019 and Cardiff might get relegated?

Neither a certainty of course but most experts would predict both things happening. Obviously doesn’t mean they will happen, but knowledge and experience tells us there is a very good chance they might.

WIth the greatest of respect, I think the known humour between me and roydo has been missed here.

Let me show you:
roydo: the economy might tank
Me (in reality): the 'money' people in the UK would not let that happen; the consequences could be dire
Me: p1ss-taking: Everton might win the Prem & the RS might get relegated.

A gentle play on the word 'might'.

I should add that I have seen the Blues win the title 4 times, and I feel genuinely sorry for all Blues supporters who have not yet seen that happen, and the way modern football is going/has gone in a business sense, may never see it happen...
