More project fear - oh it never worked Bruce Remain lost the vote........

It's interesting Joe. I'm reading an MIT paper at the moment into fake news. Long story short, it says that fake news stories spread much faster than true stories online (70% faster in fact). In other words, people are gullible and post a lot of rubbish online. Who'd have thought?

Well it cost the taxpayer 8-9 million that leaflet Bruce!

It was based on Treasury figures I believe. The funny thing is, you could probably make exactly the same leaflet based upon the Home Office analysis that Davis tried to suppress. They're trying so hard to scare you I'm surprised they didn't write it wearing a bedsheet over their heads.

I see the U.K. is looking for an exemption from Trumps steel tariffs because we provide finished material for their defence programmes and we also pay the 2% required by NATO. So on the face of it it should be granted. The EU however have immediately said that the EU must be treated as a bloc, even though Trump has publicly insisted it will be done on a country by country basis. I think Trump will home in on Germany tbh, as he is pretty upset watching them with massive export surpluses while not paying their way in NATO. If the U.K. does get a US exemption, just watch the rest of the 27. If we don’t, then no one in the EU will get one. Of course the EU may well get an exemption for everyone, but somehow I believe that this is a very deliberate ploy by Trump to destabilise the power of the EU. This is going to be quite interesting.......

Edit, thinking about it, I expect we will shortly hear another threat from the EU saying that there will ne no trade talks or something, if we obtain an exemption.......

Do you think the 350m poster campaign was misleading?

Shouldn't that be, 'Do you think the equivalent 350m poster campaign was misleading?

Vote Leave campaign bus – “We send the EU £350 million a week; let’s fund our NHS instead”

Or,

"Let's give our NHS the £350 million the EU takes every week"

And here we have it, as night follows day.......

“EU sources have said if Britain secures favourable terms then EU negotiator Michel Barnier will see it as a "breach of trust".

This could see Brussels look to punish the UK in all future talks.

And one senior official from the bloc even said Brussels would see such exemptions as breaking EU law.”

So it was quite a well worded bus then, both legally accurate and suggestive of how we can use our money.....
