Posting a map of an extended EU that features Turkey was serious?

Could have fooled me. It would require referendums all over the shop for it to happen and for Cyprus to essentially give up all national dignity.

But yes, Turkey joining the EU after closing one chapter in the 35 needed and having a dictator in charge than pretty much no major government in Europe would 'get into bed' with is totally serious.

I know it’s only a made up scenario, but I do like the fact that the Crimea is shown as if it were part of Ukraine, when in fact it is, without doubt, now part of Russia....I also like the Georgia bit, which obviously will not upset the Russians at all.........eventually this will all end in tears, and I for one do not wish to see a single U.K. serviceman or woman involved....

The EU is currently trying to grow into areas that were previously under Soviet control and provide buffers to nuclear Russia, a country that still remembers its 20 Million dead from the last eastward push by Germany. When Turkey joins and then eventually Georgia and Ukraine, Russia will be both surrounded and vulnerable and that is not a good position to put a well armed, unstable, nuclear power in. I can see no good whatsoever in this incessant EU expansion and we are well out of it......
