The one on the bus is fine, imo. To me it says we could spend that money better, including supporting the NHS

It's the poster that's just stupid, saying clear as day that they would give all the money to the NHS. That was never going to happen so it was naughty to use that claim then simply renege on it immediately afterwards.

Then again, dumb promise or not, nothing said during the campaign could be classed as a manifesto promise, as Brexit did not directly correlate with party manifesto. There were MPs from all parties on both sides of the argument.

Give me your top five reasons as to why you voted Leave.

Might as well.

I'll take your post literally:

Sovereignty
Easier to make radical changes in our economic system
EU is doomed to break up sometime (may as well get out now).
Global Outlook rather than European Outlook
Adverse effect of the high level of European immigration on quality of life and services

The link you posted last - yes, it is.

The previous one (or two, not sure, but defo the one before it) didn't say that, despite the fact you claimed it did because you heard it on TV, which is illogical at best.
It's illogical that you cannot see in the title of the thread that it was on the news why because it was reported in the Daily telegraph can't you see that instead of splitting hairs it's clear as daylight, but you refer to the Guardian thread as it suits you too!
In a nutshell the experts cannot be trusted!
Also the Guardian and the telegraph ones a remainer and the other is an Outer,
So I know what I heard on the news pity you were watching something else on tv or a radio?

You're saying it's illogical on my side when you're quoting the telegraph but linking the guardian for something slightly different?

Okay.

So you have about ten years less experience of life, politics, business and general common sense than the youngest of my four children. So if you want to have a go at joey, just remember that he has probably forgotten more about life than you have so far learnt. Youth is a wonderful thing, but when you consider that everything you know has probably happened in the last ten years, imagine how much you will know in another 40 years........

A great many of the great inventions and breakthroughs in human history have been made by people in their 20s Pete. For instance, the average age of those working on the atom bomb at Las Alamos was 25. Indeed, when Warren Bennis analysed great teams throughout history for one of his recent books (Organizing Genius if you wanted to read it), he found that the majority of them were in their 20s.

The reason such teams and individuals tend to be so successful is that they aren't beholden to a 'way things work round here' mindset. As we age, we often strike on a way of being and then just repeat that way indefinitely for the rest of our days. It's hard to quantify someones experience if that experience consists of doing the same thing day in, day out.

Could you expand on those. What does sovereignty mean, for instance, and what would qualify as regaining it in your eyes?

The last one makes me very sad. They're people. Usually people that have an awful lot in common with you and I. To suggest people are responsible for your qualify of life based on nothing but their birthplace is very sad. I mean we have as many migrants coming from outside the EU (that we can 'control'). Presumably they don't do any of that? We have many people moving around our country from other parts of the country. Are you equally hostile to people moving to your town from Blackpool or Birmingham? It's just those from certain nations or of certain skin colours? Certain religions maybe?

I appreciate that Bruce, and indeed children younger than 12 have served mathematics, sciences and music (Pascal, Gauss, Mozart) as well as any other adult. I was merely trying to point out to 'number 25' that asking if Joey was 12 works both ways..........

No Bruce. I mean the exact opposite of what you are saying as I have said on here before.

I want any immigration to be equally available to people from countries outside Europe and in fact Id like it to be more available to them than EU citizens who don't really need it economically.

Id also like trade to be equally or more free to countries outside Europe rather than have those other countries have to pay compulsory tarriffs as the EU makes us charge them at present.

I'm actually very close to accepting a total "no borders" for anyone view. However facts are we are projected to become the most densely populated country in Europe so people who are anti-immigration are not just scaremongering or being xenophobic.

I really can't be bothered to define what I mean by sovereignity. Would have thought it very obvious.

You're an idiot.
And you are needlessly rude. Every other post you have in this thread insults somebody. Would you please either cut out the insults or stop posting in here. Nobody on either side of this debate wants this thread to be locked because of pointless and petty arguments that have been almost completely avoided until you started posting.

Bruce when you have supervised sometimes up to 40 staff, and in life mastered the necessary qualifications , and then travelled the country to get on in life - mainly learning how to do anything practically passing on knowledge I learnt, from my experienced bosses that is the best university of life you could ever be so fortunate to learn, and gain experience from also seeing how the EU from 1970's onwards provided more red tape than necessary in my job got very heavy before retirement - I feel like anyone like @Number_25 in debate just calls me an IDIOT twice
is a bit harsh also telling me I behave like a 12 year old?
bu all means have some banter , but this person is new to the thread , and with others telling him he is out of order I have left it at that warning him if he calls me an iDIOT again he will definitely get reported!
we were all impetuous perhaps at his age , and I have made an allowance for that!

So... what's happening lads ??? After 1140 pages has anybody convinced anybody else yet that their choice was wrong?

No. But those of us who are right have enjoyed telling the others they are wrong. In other news we have all agreed a position regarding the Welsh........
