Do we budget £10m a season for sacking managers? It's getting ridiculous. Let's offer the next one a 3 month trial period like in the real world! Ha ha

I think we should be budgeting that sort of money per season if our game plan is to continue to employ inept managers, the notion that time will solve all problems is a nonsense, if a manager isn’t good enough now he won’t be good enough in 3 or 4 or 5 months time.

I’m not sure he’s 100% realistic but it’s certainly more so than Allegri, Simeone, Mourinho etc.

Yeah there are Man Utd rumors out there too so it's quite possible he's beyond what we can attract. Plus giving up on the CL to take us over today is a bold move.

Him and Gallardo are the two with a bit of plausibility that I'd want.

Agree, for me both are the edge of what we can attract.

Unlike the Joses and Diegos, they arent on mega-money at their current clubs, both playing in "weaker" leagues, a move to the Premier League and some success would give their career the boost it needs, BUT, both are already at very successful clubs and neither are in any hurry to leave their current clubs, especially for a struggling club. Both are also in conversations for "better" clubs than us.

Maybe two seasons ago I could see an Ajax manager leaving for Everton but they have taken massive steps forward since then and we have not.

He certainly seems to have a lot going for him, but I couldn't see us being all that appealing to him. It isn't all about throwing money at someone and expecting them to salivate.

The issue for me is where he leaves Ajax too. I still think we could pull a manager from Ajax, bigger salary, bigger budget and working with brands helps, however he must know he can get a top job when he leaves Ajax.
