Further cutting edge scare mongering was on display in last Sunday’s second episode of Sir David Attenborough’s Frozen Planet II.
Unfortunately playing on people's fears is their MO, will be the same story as they rip up planning laws and destroy green space to 'turbo charge' the economy. All that is turbo charged is the dividend payment to shareholders. Sadly by the time most people notice they've already voted them back in after falling for a media sponsored confidence trick.Fracking back on the table... this is going to be interesting, employing peoples fears for energy to prompt a sacrificing of the environment.
Put up more turbines, get some hydro going, and pay for it and own it via the tax payer. No point selling turbine fleets abroad because we're still over a barrel at their behest.

Being serious the internet of energy is a thing (potentially an enormous one), but whether any of us live to see it is debateable. Would require massive joined-up infrastructure across the globe and long-term geopolitical stability.
