Or maybe the Smithsonian Institute?

I repeat, again, it's fine to not be a fan of Thumberg and deride her for being a child, but a big part of her patter is that society has ignored actual experts on this issue for decades, and your post is an example of doing just that.
The actual Experts have been wrong time and time again.. the Maldives was predicted to be under water by 2018 and drinking water in the Maldives was predicted to be gone by 1992 neither happened, but at cop26 we were told we must act now to save the Maldives or it Could be under water by 2100.

I’m not sure it’s as positive as you are making out.

if it helps, the article cited didn't say that the Great Barrier Reef had 'zero prospect' of recovery - they were talking there about parts of the bleached coral, not the whole reef.

This is like Brexit all over again. Experts aren't going to be right all the time, but surely it's better to heed the input of people who spend their life studying something than Jack off the Internet.

I posted the NASA link covering ice mass loss when he first raised 'his' coldest period thing. That was obviously pointless. He's just looking for anything as an out, whilst there are loads of examples of change, like Siberia and Canada that he's completely ignoring. Obviously tipping points like AMOC changing and permafrost melting (and how the methane reacts)make things unpredictable, and people like this will make hay whilst they can.

How do you think pollution is caused?
I know how pollution is caused, we are talking about climate change, not pollution, unless you consider carbon dioxide a pollutant which is what people have been convinced of, even though the ppm in the atmosphere is lower than any time in history.

I wouldn’t bother mate.
If you want to stick your fingers in your ears and yell "la la la I can't hear you" like a 5 year old without debate, then by all means go ahead, but why tell others to do the same? Wah wah wah this person doesn't agree with me I don't want to talk about it..

I was asking why it wasn't major news.. like 1 warm day is..

I spoke with the boss of Great Ormond Street a few weeks ago and he and the bosses of other children's hospitals across the country are pushing for movement on climate change precisely because the things that lead to pollution also worsen climate change.

You could pick so many things, from cleaner air, better energy security, cleaner waterways, healthier food, protecting ecosystems, or one of probably many other reasons to do things that will also, the scientists believe, help our climate. It feels like a no brainer tbh.
