Enough is Enough!!

I was thinking about that earlier on and wondered whether Moyes has reached that point where his heart is just not in it anymore. Moreover, the man might just be literally shattered with all the work involved. He's paid handsomely, but the work is non-stop if you're a Moyes type character.

Paid handsomely to manage a bunch of footballers. What he wants I could buy 2 houses a month in Port Sunlight.

Lets say he works 24/7

£60,000 divided by 168 hours is £357 per hour. Thats £300 more than minimum wage. I don't feel for anyone who can earn that kind of money.

Something is wrong behind the scenes, mate. He looks a defeated man. Maybe a new manager would be for the best. Regardless of that though, a local Derby is a local Derby. I'd expect some level of professionalism and self-motivation.
That is the main point IMO why our season going the way it is going. He looks like he does'nt care anymore, and sometimes even a bit clueless. This change is what is affecting the players. I never thought I should say this, but I believe it is time for him to go unless he manages to change things around. Give him 5 games and if major changes have not happend and his contract has not been signed I would fire him. I don't really have a clue as to who should replace him.

What makes me wonder is the contract is not getting back dated,so it has to be a doubt there about signing I can imagine my Mrs if it was me,sign it now your costing us money:lol:Ok Dave is not short of a few bob but its baffling, the unrest is growing a few fans by me started murmering hes not worth it .but these are the ones who sing the clubs praises if we win no matter how we play and boo when we dont:@

Nick, I was attempting to understand what might be going on Moyes' mind. In the big scheme of things, I don't feel at all sorry for Moyes and would trade my problems for his in a flash. I just wonder whether he's feeling burned out, which might explain a number of things. But obviously that is just one possibility. Maybe he's just pissed off with Bill for not being able to provide more funds. Maybe, god forbid, he's bought into the whole Moyesiah crap and honestly believes that he is the second SAF and too good for all the "hardship" he has here at little old Everton. Who knows? And anyone with some inside information please feel free to PM me! :D

I dont expect a turnaround in form. And I dont expect Moyes to renew his contract. I'm convinced now that he believes that's it: he's taken Everton as far as he can go under the present financial arrangements. To get out of this slump (teetering on the edge of crisis) I think you need a motivated manager who can see a brighter future if he works hard and meets short-to-medium term objectives. That's not Moyes. He's seen his work of the past 6 seasons, where he's had to work minor miracles, rewarded with a sell-to-buy summer transfer policy at a point all the football world was expecting him to be funded to take us to the next level. It would take a stoical response by Moyes now to accept that and soldier on. I dont think he does accept it, not by a long chalk.

I must say im dissapointed with the result today but im more dissapointed with all the so called everton fans whingeing about david moyes, its not all down to him you have got only to take a look at certain players i.e lescott who is playing out of position and seems to be not trying at all as he doesnt want to play at left back the only players that i could see who where playing out of there skin today was Neville and Osman the rest looked like they couldnt give a [Poor language removed]!! I blame the players more than moyes they need to buck up there ideas.

I cant believe you criticise some fans for calling Dave and then accuse Lescott of not trying,I would agree if you said playing poorly ,off form ect but I dont think any of them dont give their best no matter how bad they play.(y)

As I have said on numerous occasions players donøt suddenly become bad, but can be affected confindence wise- and this is where the manager must step in. Moyes is not a bad manager but as I have experienced many times in my different jobs, sometimes you just need a change of scene. Perhaps this is where Moyes is at and he just does'nt motivate the players that much anymore (and this is Moyes' strong point) and the players are suffering as a consequence.

i do wonder why he hasnt signed it but for me we should be looking at Round, since he's come we have gone downhill, i dont care how many badges he's got, he worked at Newcastle.........they were [Poor language removed], he worked for the brolly man......England were [Poor language removed]. for a club to play as bland as the england team is a 1st in the modern era, he's turning foreigners into england players in a way with the stale, unproductive way of playing.
do the rs get that many free-kicks every week ? if so then they can basically base there play around that as they were forever taking free kicks. do we concede that many free-kicks every week ? what are the stats with respect to that for today ? it seems that week in week out we are conceding freekicks yet not being given many, or is that me wearing blinkers ?

I only saw the game via a stream today, which froze every 30 secs, but it appeared that Lescott was trying pretty hard. He wasn't great, but at least he put the graft in. Maybe I'm wrong?

He tried but its like there is something missing, maybe there is a subtle change in tactics but he seems to attack more than defend(y)

It's a pain relying on streams for how things pan out. You just can't really get a flow of the game. We need sattellite TV but are skint at the moment. But cheers for filling me in Roy and Reidy.

I thought Lescott was fine to be honest as where most of the back four defensively. Our distribution was awful though.

Lescott is a quality player who's lacking confidence at the moment, he's definatly improving though. His goals didn't mask his performances last season, his all round play was superb and it will be once he gets into the swing of things this season.
