Enner Valencia

Good luck to him as always, looks terrible with a poor record and is pretty much universally hated by the West Ham fans.

Saying that our second striker was Kone so surely he can't be that much worse?! (Hopefully)

We giving the lad a chance then or just moaning like we did with Gueye before we were all proven wrong?

He'll be happy being back up and can play across any forward position, is quick strong and decent in the air. Had we bought Bony we'd have a problem on our hands as both would want to play as first choice. Loaning Valencia gives us options. Decent business in my opinion.

You've basically just hit the nail on the head. Everyone else can say what they will about Mosh/Walsh/Koeman/Elstone/Mr Bigglesworth being a fraud or a charlatan, but there aren't many strikers in the world that will want to go to a club just to be second fiddle - least of all players such as Gabbiadini, Brahimi, Slimani etc.

Let's say the worst happens and we're in an xmas 08/jan 09 situation where there are no recognised strikers. What do we do? Several options if Valencia is as bad as feared.....

1. Del and Kev in a 4-4-2, so our additional wingers are brought into play. I still have time for Lennon even if no one else seems to.

2. Make Barkley our attacker in a 4-6-0. The physical demands of a #10 are off him and we know he has a few goals in the tank.

OK - neither situation is ideal and I'm in for a roasting, but let's just use our noggins here for a second.

Also, let's not forget that the 4-6-0 used in early 2009 saw us lose (I think) just once in ten games - that defeat being a 1-0 at Old Trafford which essentially stopped that lot winning the title, so no complaints there in any case.

You would expect a player like this going on loan to a championsship club and not to be the marque (loan)signing of the new owner of Everton FC of a long build up to transfer deadline day

I wonder if he came to us rather than us approach West Ham.
It appears Sissoko's teds contacted us about a deal rather than us approaching Newcastle (which is dodgy as).

Do we actually have any people working at the club with a brain? WTF was Walsh doing during all this.

Our Facebook page did themselves absolutely no favours. The grammatically inept mutants on there had already reached fume level 100 and then the club posted this.
