I disagree, for all Englands faults they are head and shoulders better than this other team.
4-0 England, at a canter.

Well the one person I know who hates Rooney, doesn't hate England. It's the bandwagon that does my head in, people following sheep because they think it's the right direction, but don't really know why they hate England.
I'm proud of my country, it's a country that in the past decades has lost an awful lot of it's children to other people's wars, trying to make other countries a safer place. And if were going to point the finger at hooligans, well I'd like people to have a look at how many people are killing their own citizens all over the world? In America gun crime is rife, yet most Americans seem to be still proud of their nation. How about people in Iraq and Afganistan, Pakistan, Somalia, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Korea. War torn (off and on) for decades. We have a stable nation with some great people, and it hurts me and disappoints me when people on here, who are English take pleasure in ripping into the nation for no reason whatsover.
Rant over.
I used to be proud of my country, then it ****ed me over, now I have only contempt for it.
Not really the thread for it, nor I doubt would anybody see my point of view, I am after all somebody who gave up working for the sake of his Children, I think the Torys would call me scum.
Well my previous post still means the same for me.
You make of your life what you want to mate.
'If England can have an Italian manager and the English cricket team can be dominated by South Africans then surely football supporters are allowed to take a similar lack of notice of national boundaries.'
I agree with Tony Barett of the Times. I don't hate the England team, far from it, but I'm the first to admit that I don't feel that closeness to them, I don't view them as my team so to speak, I've never had that connection with International football in general in all honesty. To me it's like watching the Champions League.
I just want to see some good, entertaining football. I certainly won't be hoping England get kicked out but on the other hand I won't be be majorly disappointed if they do.
Many years ago I went to Goodison Park and I saw Alesandro Pistone arrive in a Porsche 911.
I love Everton, but from that day I can't say I felt close to any of the players. Not like I did when I listened to the radio in my bed back when I was about 10 to the endless cup replays with Sheffield Wednesday and Oldham.
